Adria Alpert-Romm
Senior Executive Vice President
Human Resources

Adria Alpert-Romm is in charge of the human resources management, training and development, benefits and compensation and organizational development of Discovery’s worldwide workforce. Alpert-Romm joined Discovery in 2007 from NBC-Universal where, as senior vice president of human resources since 2004, she oversaw human resources support for NBC’s TV businesses including NBC Network and Studio, digital content, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC and cable entertainment which includes the USA, SCI FI and Bravo networks.

Earlier, Alpert-Romm served as vice president of human resources for the NBC TV network and NBC staff functions. Her previous roles included vice president of human resources at CNBC and at MSNBC. In her NBC-U career that began in 1982, Alpert-Romm also oversaw human resource functions during the launch of MSNBC, and played a key human resources role in integrating Bravo and Telemundo into the NBC family of companies.

Alpert-Romm began her career at Mony Financial Services, where she held several positions specializing in college relations.

A native of New York City, Alpert-Romm graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College with a bachelor’s of arts degree in sociology and speech.
